Admissions

Starting at Brambles — step by step, side by side.

We keep admissions simple: visit, place offer, registration, settling-in, first day. Most families finish the whole process in 2–3 weeks.

welcome

The process

Six gentle steps from enquiry to first day.

  1. 1

    Send your enquiry

Use the visit form (or call us) and tell us your child's age and rough start date.

  2. 2

    Visit the nursery

About 45 minutes — see rooms, woodland and kitchen, and meet a key person.

  3. 3

    Confirm a place

We'll check availability for your preferred sessions and send a place offer and registration pack.

  4. 4

    Send funding & forms

Send your funding code or council confirmation, plus our short registration forms.

  5. 5

    Settling-in

Two or three short visits to help your child arrive gently — and to set sleep, food and routine preferences.

  6. 6

    First full day

Your child's key person greets you at the gate. You'll get a proper handover at pickup.

Session options

Sessions designed around real working weeks.

We'll match your funded hours to the sessions that work for your family.

  • Full day

7:45am – 6:00pm — covers a full working day, with all meals and snacks.

  • Morning

7:45am – 12:30pm — includes breakfast, morning snack and lunch.

  • Afternoon

1:00pm – 6:00pm — includes lunch, snack and the late afternoon.

  • Funded-only weeks

We can match a 15- or 30-hour funded entitlement across set sessions during term time.

Settling-in

Slow, kind starts.

Most children settle over two or three short visits. Some need more — and that's fine. We work to your child's pace, not a calendar.

  1. 1

    Visit 1

A short stay with a parent — meeting the key person and exploring the room.

  2. 2

    Visit 2

A longer session without a parent — including a snack or meal if helpful.

  3. 3

    Visit 3+

Sleep, lunch, outdoor time — whatever your child still needs to settle into.

What to send

The short list of things we'll need.

We'll send registration forms once your place is offered. Bring or email these in time for your first settling-in visit.

  • Child's birth certificate (we'll see and return it)
  • Funding code (if you have one) or council confirmation
  • Parent ID — driving licence or passport
  • Any care plans or letters from health visitors / outside professionals
